~Rose laughed as she hopped up on her husband's back. With her right arm pointing straight ahead, she cheered, "Hi-ho Janza! AWAY!!!"

"To the couch!" Rose ordered. "My show is on in ten minutes."~

I keep meaning to do this, but the world keeps dragging me away. So in the dead of night, let ze critique commence! Hopefully nothing comes out as too harsh.
Referencing has done wonders for your poses. Almost everything looks just about where it should. There are some slight nitpicks about proportion here and there, but otherwise, there are only a few anatomy-related issues. Rose's body is drawn at... about a 3/4 angle, whereas Janza appears to be more strictly profile, which makes the piggy-backing look a little awkward. Rose's left leg also doesn't appear to connect to her hip.
The additional picture in the background is a nice touch, but it brings the viewer's attention to how empty the background really is. I'd suggest only doing this again if there's an additional minor detail in the background that adds to the picture. That said, though, the background is fairly dimensionally sound.
You may want to try drawing a small circular reference for wherever your light source is coming from in the future, or some other similar trick. Your shading is kind of all over the place.
Lastly, though this bit is strictly opinionated, I would suggest shortening your characters' legs, at least a little bit. I know it's a style choice, but it tends to make the characters look a little ridiculous.
